The ALPHA NextGEN EMU is a next-generation emulator platform for supported OBD1 Honda/Acura ECUs, built for real-time tuning, datalogging, and future expansion through the ALPHA ecosystem.
It is not just a basic ROM emulator. It is being developed as its own tuning platform with dedicated software, its own communication protocol, future baserom development, HTS map conversion support, and a LEGACY support mode for more traditional RTP and datalogging workflows.
Compatible ECU types
Intended for supported socketed/chipped OBD1 Honda/Acura ECUs, including ECU families such as P06, P28, P30, P72, and similar compatible OBD1-style ECUs. The ECU must be properly chipped/socketed before use. If your ECU is still completely stock, it will need to be modified first. Professional ECU socketing or installation is recommended.
USB cable
The NextGEN uses a USB Type-C connection. A 90-degree USB Type-C cable is required for proper fitment and installation clearance. The cable may not be included unless specifically stated in the order details.
Board headers
A 28-pin ROM bus header on the underside connects to the ECU's chipped/socketed ROM position. On top: 8 analog inputs (0-5V range), the ALPHA expansion pins (3.3V reference, Bluetooth reserve, CN2 datalog and ground reference, per the setup guide) and a 2-pin map control header for selecting tunes 1-4.
Updates
Built for future firmware and software updates. ALPHAlink is the Windows app for calibration, datalogging and firmware updates.
Not included
ECU, vehicle tuning, and socketing/chipping service are not included. Compatibility may depend on ECU type and condition, socketing and installation quality, baserom support, wiring, and software development status.
Tamper notice
Tampering, unauthorized firmware retrieval, software manipulation or bypass attempts are prohibited. Serialized devices identified as tampered with may be disabled in future software or firmware releases.
