Your chip burner called. It's retiring.
The best OBD1 emulator on the market, and somehow the cheapest. Real-time tuning and datalogging over USB-C, with four calibration maps stored right on the board. Yes, for $70.99.

Not just a ROM emulator.
Custom hardware, custom firmware, its own protocol, and a real desktop tuning app. Pull-chip-burn-repeat is optional now.
Real-time tuning
Change maps while the engine runs. No more chip swapping.
Datalogging
See what the ECU is actually doing after every change.
Four-map control
Four calibrations on board, switchable on the fly.
HTS map conversion
Bring your existing HTS maps along through the compatibility layer.
LEGACY mode
Prefer the old workflow? Basic RTP and datalogging are covered.
8 analog inputs
Eight 0-5V channels for external signal logging and future sensor expansion.
Old way vs ALPHA way.
Nostalgia is great for wheels. For tuning, not so much.
The software isn't a mockup.
ALPHAlink is a modern calibration, datalogging and diagnostics app built for the NextGEN. Live fuel and ignition tables, gauges, cell tracing and an oscilloscope, all in one window.

Tiny. Purple.
Serious.
A compact board that connects at the ECU's ROM position through the 28-pin header underneath, with USB-C on the end. Hover or tap the dots.
From the bench to the ECU.

Built for the OBD1 crowd.
The whole garage.
The emulator plus the parts that make it more fun.
> no chip burners on my watch.
Meet the boss.
He doesn't do blind tuning, overpriced hardware, or pulling chips at 2 a.m. Neither should you. The NextGEN is built for ongoing firmware and software updates, and every one of them makes the chip burner look older.
Questions.
Is my ECU supported?
The EMU targets socketed or chipped P06, P28, P30, P72 and similar OBD1-style ECUs. It must already be prepared with a ROM socket or header.
What's the warranty?
Six months from purchase: repair or replacement. No returns. After that, we still provide service and support for additional fees. Details on the support page.
Does it come with a cable?
A 90-degree USB Type-C cable is required for fitment. It may not be included unless stated in your order.
Can I use my existing maps?
HTS map upload and conversion are supported through the ALPHAlink compatibility layer.
Does it get updates?
Yes. The NextGEN is built for future firmware and software updates, and ALPHAlink is the Windows app for calibration, datalogging and firmware updates.
Which computer do I need?
ALPHAlink is a Windows installer. The setup guide notes it has been tested on Windows 11 only at this time.
How do I find the right COM port?
Plug the NextGEN in (3 LEDs on, not 4, means your PC recognizes it), then run the free COM Port Identifier. It tells you which COM port(s) to use in your tuning software.
How do I switch between the four maps?
The 2-pin map control header selects tunes 1-4 by grounding B1 and B2 (see guide p.4), or bolt in the MultiSELECTOR and do it with one button.
Does it include the ECU or tuning?
No. ECU, vehicle tuning, and socketing or installation service are not included.
